Disabling a 2000 Chevy Cavalier's Theft System?
I have a 2000 Chevy Cavalier that I bought not too long ago. I only starting having this issue recently however. I can't start my car; the theft system light blinks on and off and prevents the car from starting. The key turns but the engine won't fire up because of the anti-theft system. The dealer replaced my fuel pump and got me new keys but they don't work either. Some people say you can sit around from anywhere from 10-30 minutes and it'll start... this I already know but when I need to get somewhere or get stuck at a gas pump, I can't really afford to wait that long. I don't have power locks or windows, nor do I have a theft system fuse (I already checked).
Is there any other way to disable the theft system?
Oh and I already did the trick with the battery to reset everything (removing the positive)
