Some people may recognize it from Transformers: RotF as Jolt.
I think it's a nice car, 40 miles may not seem like much, but that'll get me to school and work, and back.
I'm kind of looking forward to it.
What about you? Would you even consider getting a car like this?
well first of all the volt will beable to travel much farther than 40 miles. the 40 mile feature is emissions free, pure electric drive while there is a small gasoline motor that will recharge the battery when it runs low. so hyper Gforce (although i mean no disrespect) is kinda wrong. Plus if GM did put a battery pack that would go 100miles it would cost a fourtune that most americans would not beable to afford. the 40 mile range is more than about 70% of americans drive everyday anyways.
I think the car will do well and i think that GM should keep it up because they will most likely loose money with the first gen because the technology is expensive. But going into the 2nd or 3rd gen and as they expand their line up of "voltec" vehicles the cost of making the bateries and technology will go down so price will drop and overall demand will rise. I expect it to be a success. Although i don't expect it to be the car to save GM, it will be the car that will lead GM to the forefront of battery technology and for the first time in a long time, let toyota play catch up with them.

40 miles is not nearly enough for me, if they increase mileage to something like 100, I'll consider it.

The chevy volt is just another reason GM went bankrupt.I work in a chevy dealership and have seen all the specs on the volt. The volt is going to be another piece of trash that chevy will have nothing but problems with. The worst part about the volt is the fact Chevrolet is going to sell this turd to the american car buyer.Best of luck to anyone that buys this over priced looser.
I think it is going to be a great car. The technology is finally there and it will greatly decrease our dependence on foreign energy, if enough are sold, which will take time. I think that GM has hit the jackpot here and has a very bright future ahead of them, if they continue to be this innovative, and i believe that they will.
GM ROCKS!

The Volt has an engine that will recharge the battery, so its range is much more than 40 miles.
