I have a 91 chevy truck with nearly the same engine and i have 215,000 miles and it runs like it has 20,000 miles. It's all a matter of how the car was taken care of. Frequent oil changes, avoid revving at cold start ups, not punching into it constantly, and many other factors. Are they mostly highway miles or city miles? Why is the guy selling it? That could be a major factor when it comes to deciding if you want to buy it.

You will need to drive it like an old car. Otherwise it will be toasted very soon, if not already.
