Chevrolet Aveo or Ford Focus?

I'm torn! Both have what I'm looking for and in my price range. Which one would you suggest?

Ford Focus.

The Aveo is Chevy's cheapest car. Just under $10,000 for a brand new base model.

The Focus is more upscale and competes with the Chevy Cobalt.
The Ford Focus uses some suspension parts from Mazda, making the Focus handle very well. It feels sporty. It is faster than the Aveo as well as larger. And more fun than the Aveo.
