I'm about to purchase a car and i'm stuck between these two. Both are pretty much the same in price and have the same features. I'm kinda leaning towards the Santa Fe because i like the style. Need your advice/previous experience. Thanks!

It's funny that people tell you to buy products made in the US when they don't even know that the Equinox is assembled in Canada by Canadian workers.
How is that helping money stay in this country or American workers?

Get the Santa Fe. Way better looking, more room, better ride, better warranty, better reliability.

Santa Fe all the way

the Equinox is based on the old Saturn Vue, the interior is cheaply made, the engine is rough and gets poor mpg. the handling is clumsy and the turning circle is huge., the Pontiac Torrent is it's almost identical twin.

the Hyundai is more refined Esc and side air bags are standard, the ride is good. the 2.7 liter engine is adequate and if you need more power an optional 3.3 liter V6 is available.

I would go with the Santa Fe. Chevy products have HORRIBLE trade in value. Say in 4 years if you want something else, the Chevy would be worth less as a trade in. The Equinox also is very heavy compared to horse power so it will feel sluggish.

Chevrolet. BUY AMERICAN!! Its in the best interest of all Americans for their money to stay in this country. Why do you think the economy is going down?
edit: Hey stupid Flanders, With a Chevy the profits stay in this country. Many of the parts are American made. America benefits more Canada than from Korea. Canada buys more American products than any other foreign country.

Go with the Santa Fe and then think, why are we loosing jobs in the USA. Still want to put your hard earn money into the Korean economy? If you plan on trading in two years lease the car don't commit to long term financing or you will have negative equity from the get go!!!
