cargo room in the chevy equinox?

Im looking into buying a 07 and Im wondering how it is on cargo room. I have a boxer and I want to be able to take her collapsable cage with me and put it in the back cargo area. i looked them and love them but i forgot to measure my cage compared to the cargo area. I think it would fit but just asking if anyone has tried to haul stuff like that. Also-- on the reviews i saw people were complaining about a cup holder where the emerg. brake was and it got in the way, and that the back seat was alittle too small? I would like to hear from everyone on the pros and cons of this vehicle. I am supposed to sign papers on tuesday .

I have a Saturn Vue which is essentially the same vehicle with a shorter wheelbase.

If you are going to sign on the vehicle, and Tuesday has already passed, hopefully you took the cage with you.

I've never had a problem with the e-brake handle and the cup holders. Some folks are going to complain no matter what.

Back seat, too small? too small for whom? The back seat can hold 3 small adults, or 2 large adults and a small child. I know. My big-boned mom, sister and 7 yr old nephew fit just fine in my Vue and the backseat is identical to the Equinox.

If you do decide to buy, hope you enjoy.

Compared to the gas guzzling truck based SUV's you are going to be hard pressed to find something as good as the Equinox for the money.
