Chevy equinox or dodge magnum?

I want to get the equinox and my husband wants a magnum. my biggest concern is the price tag I think the equinox is cheaper and better on gas. I found one with leather seats and sunroof within our price range but he still wants that magnum engine. Which one is a better car?

magnum .. the hemi cuts off 4 cylinders when they are not needed ...

i have a 2005 equinox and i love it i get 340 miles per tank on the highway and it is a comfortable ride.
