where is the oil filter located on a chevy cavalier 2004 model?

okay if the filter is on the right hand side when u open the hood, which end of the compartment do u open? the end towards the windshield or the end towards the front?
i mean left or right, my husband is the one asking so is it left or right to gain access?

if you cant find an oil filter then you need to just take your car to jiffy lube and let them do it, it costs more to replace your engine when you seize it up from not changing the oil correctly!

if you open the hood you will see it on the right side in a compartment.
it's a cartrigde filter
