2004 chevy avalanche ac compressor wont stay on keeps kicking off?

you dont have enough ac "fluid" in it,you can buy it at wal mart but you need the tools to put it in, look on top of ac pump it will tell you what type to use "ie" rc-124 a..or take it to a garage..
