Definately the Corolla. Toyota is a better made car. All foriegn cars are better period. The Toyota will last much longer plus your insurance will be cheaper for the toyota as opposed to the chevy. Aveo crumble in a collision. Toyota's hold up better.

The Toyota Corola is far superior in every single aspect. I would much, much rather have a base model Corolla with 50K miles on it, than a brand new top of the line Aveo. Trust me, you will like the Corolla, it should last a very long time, with minimal money spent on repairs if you just keep up on basic maintenance.

And for the part about buying an american made car and keeping your money in your own country, I saw this....
THE CHEVY AVEO IS A DAEWOO KALOS AND IS MADE IN THE BUPYONG PLANT IN SOUTH KOREA. The Chevy Aveo is in no way an american car.
