93 chevy suburban hard shifting?

yes my chevy saburban 5.7 4L60E, when i start it up in the morning the tranny shifts good threw all the gears,but it seem's like when i drive it for a good while the tranny starts to shift real ugly!!!! i mean from 1st threw the rest i have to give it gas hard for it to shift but it will shift,do you all think that it may need a filter and fluid change? or do you all think that the transmission control solenoid is bad? please help with this!!!!!!!
i did check the fluid and it looks fine,but forgot to mention that the thing sat for awhile.
