I have an 87 Iroc-Z. Some days, it drives just perfect. Other days, after 5 minutes of driving, the check engine light comes on, and it falls on its face. The engine idles around 500 rpms, it wont shift unless you floor it, and then when you do get up to speed, it seems like high gear isnt engaged all the way. From a stop, it shudders if you press the gas lightly, but if you floor it, it jumps right up to 3 or 4 grand. Also, is it normal when you open the gas cap after driving, for it to make a huge sucking sound?
