this problem? History: Been aligned plenty of times, Factory installed tires wore out in 5k miles. Put new ones with harder rubber-wore out in 6k miles. No one can find the problem.
The dealer is saying it's my driving that is doing it-stop and go (newspaper delivery) But I had another vehicle in which it never did this.
The other independant shop that has been been helping me-says it has to be something else and found on the TSB board the Aveo has 3 differant settings for the alignment-dependant on the load I carry.
The dealer is still holding strong-I believe I have a lemon-so now I am going to another dealer to get a third opinion.
Does anyone have any insight why this would happen so quickly and what might be the problem except an alignment problem-becasue it seems always to be in alignment.
Ok- the tire wear rate is not the same-Back end is fine-it's the LT front 1rst then RT front. It doesn't pull to the side. From what I hear-no camber/Caster adjustments. Haven't hit any curbs. I will have the shop look at the bolts and I don't believe a shop has done that diagnostic-I will have them check. Also when the brakes get hot-it pulls to the left side.
If Dodgeman, Kcsakary, and Rsqur look at this question-Please contact me
Thank you
Tire pressure is fine-Been filled with Nitrogen (doesn't have a heat factor or air leakage)
I don't hot rod around-I take very good care of it.
Both were front wheel drive-1 a van and this is a car. I drive very carefully.
The big guys at Chevy have been notifies and that is why I have the question on here to get possibly some answers to give to the dealers repair shop and to see if I am the only one havin the problem (which I see I am not.

I need more details on the tire wear. Is it just the front tires or both front and back? Where is the wear occuring on the tires? On the outside edges, center, or inside edges? If it's just the front tires and wear is on the outside edges, it could be a misalignment and/or cornering too hard. The Aveo is a tall, top-heavy car running on fairly skinny tires, but they still shouldn't be wearing out as fast as you are experiencing.
