first turned on the key.? The last time that it ran I noticed that it made that same sound the entire time that it was running (the whiney sound) I am guessing that sound is the fuel pump, but I am not 100% sure. I just can't figue out IF it was the fuel pump, why would it have run constantly that last time, and also could that have been the reason that it maybe burned up?!?!?!

Sounds like the fuel pump, Did you check your fuses?

No, it's more than likey your fuel pump. It happens alot on older chevy's. That whiney noise is the fuel pump.
