Yesterday 2/21/07 I was driving in Chino Hills, CA and I pulled up next to a brand new black HHR convertible with the top down. I had heard the there was not going to be a HHR convertible. What gives?

There is no such thing. If you saw one, it was modified in a chop-shop (no pun intended!). Maybe you saw a Chrysler PT Cruiser convertible? Same body style, different manufacturer.

Anyway, if it indeed was an HHR, you'll have to get yours done at a chop shop. You can't buy one like that from the factory.

People that are saying SSR: No, they're not even close to the same. An SSR looks like a little truck convertible, nothing like the HHR.

Sure it wasn't an SSR? I don't think they make an HHR convertible.

There is no HHR convertible yet, and no plans have been announced for one. As of 1/5/07.
You must have seen something else, probably an SSR.

Did it look like this but black?
