I bought a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe without the 3rd row.?

I now want to install the third row. Who is the best qualified to install the seat? The dealer or any general body shop/mechanic? Are there any safety precautions I should look for? Any ideas on cost?

Tahoe's all have provisions for a third seat. It has quick release devices built into the floor. The seats are made to be easily removed, so all you have to do is get the third seats (they are in two seperate units) and drop them into place.

See if there is release device to the floor by the rear door. My friends Tahoe does not have it because some other owner remove it. I guess you have to find the custom make for the seat. Maybe you can ask the dealership or your shop to see if they know the place.
