it shuts down, the motor will stop running.some time it happins in the morning whill iam worming it up,but most off the time it happins whill iam driving down the road.some times it starts back up,and some times all it does is turn over wont start.ther is no spark when that happins.then all off a sudden it starts working again, and runs great for a whill.

It's a chevy for god's sakes!!! No wonder it fu*ks up!!! Get a FORD!!! Oh yea and you were the one driving the camaro that my mustang ATE the other day right?
I'm sorry, but there's no way to hook up an 84 ANYTHING to a computer, they didn't have onboard computers back then. And it's unlikely that it had an oxygen sensor either. Your mechanic ripped you off bud.

I take that back, I have seen an 85 cadillac with an onboard computer, but anything less than a top of the line luxury car is not going to have an on board computer.

OBD started in 1980, all GM cars had a computer since then. The DLC was a flat 5 pin you could flash out codes by jumping a b or use an OTC scan tool. Years later they came out with the TECH 1. There is no way to guess what is happing to this Camaro, it needs to be taken into a garage to be diagnossed.
