replace the cam? How do I pick a good street strip cam. Car has the stock rear gears. was a 4 speed car

id go with a comp cam 12-210-2 you might want to use headers and a 4-barrel though

Go with a Comp cam, and keep the lift under 480.

Just a cam upgrade? Isn't it wise to help that cam out with a bigger carburator at least? Better breathing exhaust, I would go as far as larger exhaust valves. Who opens up an engine just to put a bigger cam in and nothing else? I hope you have a four bolt main 350. Not that a 2 bolt wont work, four bolt is so much stronger
