07 chevy trailblazer won't shift to 4wd?

i try shifting to 4wd and won't shift in then the dummy light comes on for a problem with the 4wd, anyone have any ideas before i take it to the dealer

When was the last time you shifted it into 4x4? Will it shift into 4hi or neutral? The most common problem is the solenoid is stuck and will need to be replaced.
