Starting issues

I have looked at a couple things on this seems to be a common problem but have not seen a solution. I have a 2005 Equinox and every once in a while it will have trouble starting on the first shot it will turn but just seem to barely get started then die. On the second try ill give it a little gas and it seems to do just fine but it is still annoying and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what it could be.

Were you planning on taking the vehicle to be diagnosed? Please keep me posted when the issue has been taken care of.

I took it to a dealer to have the tires rotated and balanced, along with the brake rotors being replaced, I asked about the problem when I was dropping it off and was told that the fuel injectors may need to be serviced or they could look into it but either way it was going to cost over $100, being that I was already spending in excess of $500 that day I decided against either option.
