I got my Equinox last September and this is the second time it's been in the shop. The first time (Feb '11) was to remedy the seat belt recall and the radio's AUX input nonfunctionality. Regarding the radio, I was told that a nodule hadn't been sufficiently tightened at the factory. Radio worked great for awhile, but a month later it wasn't even bringing up the AUX input option anymore. Now I'm being told that they need to rip out the whole radio system and install a brand new one.
Anyone else having this issue?
Also, there is a periodic "thunk" I can feel immediately under the floor when I turn the steering wheel to the right, and an occasional high-pitched whining/humming sound while I'm driving. The back seats rattle when I drive over the most minor bumps (like rubber patching for street cracks), and the car started loud and hard (loud knocking sound subsided after about 10 seconds)for three days. Dealership says they're "looking into it". Please help!
