2007 chevy equinox question...need help please!

My 2007 equinox has 105,000 miles on it. within the last month the stabiltrak light comes on and off constantly and "service stabiltrak" comes on and now i have noticed that when pulling a hill it jerks almost like a transmission slip..I tried running a fuel injector cleaner thru it thinking it could have been fuel related but it didnt help...help me please..im at a loss

This really sounds like something you're going to have to bring to a repair shop to get a diagnostic check on, unfortunately...

ok so i drove the equinox this weekend. I took it to advanced auto parts and had them hook a computer to it and it was throwing a code for small fuel leak.. the guy there told me to tighten the gas cap so i did and he cleared the codes..So now the check engine light is off but the other codes are still there(service stabiltrak and service tire moniter system).. and while driving i noticed that it only does this skipping or jerking when the car is running under 2000rpm.Does any one know what might be the problem or where to start looking?

I am not familiar with the 2007 model year, but most vehicles have a switch to turn off stabilitrac. Have you tried disabling it and driving it that way.

yes i have turned the traction control off and nothing changed.Im still having no luck figureing it out:(:(

groovy_ld, I would definitely recommend speaking with the service department at your local dealer. They can see if there are any codes stored and assist with diagnosing your vehicle.

I have the same truck and i am having the same exact problem have had problems with this truck since day one was the worst mistake i have ever made was buying this truck should of stayed with my mazda not one problem in 4 years i had it. If you figure out what is wrong please post it so i can try it on mine thanks

I have changed my coil and wire and that didnt do it someone said might be a fuel pump going bad now it is doing it at idle it is running like it has a huge cam in it

i carried to a repair shop and had computer hooked to it, the codes were evap, egr valve, misfire on cylinder 1. WTF does any of that have to do with stabiltrak? And they try and tell me a tune up "might" fix it and want $500 to change plugs and wires and coil...I think its horse sh*t. Trying to get in a dealership within the next week so i should have some answers soon..

I just purchased one of these. Is there any chance that it's transmission related? Have you ever had the transmission fluid and filter changed? If not, at your mileage, it's overdue. Possibly a clogged transmission filter?

I changed the plugs and wires on it and the jerking is gone and the engine light is now off and runs as smooth as silk.. Strabiltrak light is still on.. Who knows?

That just happened to mine over the weekend. Not only did the Stabilitrack message show up, but the ABS light is now on, I get All Wheel Drive off, and Traction Control Service light. I called a dealership and the service manager told me it's probably a short in the communication link. What ever that is. Mine is back at the car lot and they've assured me that they'll either get it fixed or put me in another vehicle of my choice. It seems like this is a common problem on the 07 models for some reason. I'm in an 08 loaner right now with 98,000 miles on it and that's not a problem in it. The one I bought only has 74,000 miles on it. They're also fixing a faulty driver side window switch and the windshield wipers. I think the module is bad as they will not return to the park position unless you try to finesse them there. But I sure like the way it rides and handles.

Were you planning on taking your vehicle in to have the Stabilitrak light checked out? Please keep us posted when the issue has been taken care of.
