My Antenna on my 2011 equinox lt is too tall for my garage. Is there a replacement I could buy that would be about 2 inches shorter?

I hear about this all the time. There's a whip extension (I'm not sure what that is) that you can remove.. I believe it only works for the AM/FM stereo and possibly OnStar...

This has been an issue for a few people I know with the 2010 and 2011 Equinox and Terrains.

Some replace the antenna with the "shark fin" type that GM put on some vehicles and some switched to one that looks a lot like the stock antenna but is shorter. My wife's 2005 Grand Prix had the short one.
