Chevy Equinox 2005 transmission fluid change? No one seems to know?

I have been to dealer and I dont trust them. I used to have a BMW and the dealer loosened my transmission bolt during a brake job and claimed I needed transmission repair (just trying to lie to get money)

What kind of Transmission fluid does a 2005 equinox LT FWD use. Where should I take it where they will actually just do it right and not pull any funny business?

I keep getting Dexron IV, T-IV, Mercon...no one seems to know what fluid it takes. 2 different Chevy dealers will give you 2 answers..HELP

So because some idiot at a BMW dealership supposedly loosened something up so now you don't trust a GM dealer....great logic there....

Anyway, It takes T-IV trans fluid.

Dexron and Mercon are practically the same fluid. Dexron used to be GM's brand and Mercon was Ford's.
