I have an '05 Chevy Malibu. When I put a CD in, it says Check Disc What's wrong?

My CD player in my car did the same thing yesterday. I popped out the CD and found a smudge on it -- cleaned it up and it worked just fine!

If that's the problem, you may want to keep a CD cleaning cloth and a CD player cleaning disc in your car.
