I want to buy a used chevy equinox and i wanted to know if if raises your insurance.?

I don't have allstate, I have state farm ..not sure how they compare as far as rates, but when I purchased my equinox last weekend, I spoke to the state farm Rep. on Monday morning and my rate actually went down by one dollar...haha. I previously was driving a 2dr Honda Accord '03. I too was expecting my rates to go up.
