How Do I make the DVD Player work in my 2003 Chevy Trailblazer LS?

I've had my 2003 Chevy Trailblazer for a year and half and absolutely love it, but I've never once been able to make the DVD Player work. Can anyone help me out?

I would go back to the Dealer where I got it, but to be honest, those guys are idiots and I don't want to deal with them - hopefully I can come up with something on my own.
