is there a specific way of getting the cd player to wokr in a 97 chevy tahoe ?

i put cdd in the player and it tries scannin it and the nit says error and spits it right back out , idk if theres somethin wrong with it or if theres a specific way of gettin it to work

It needs replaced. (or repaired) It was a common problem in 97,98,99,00. Sorry

Either the cd or the cd player is bad. If different cds don't work, the cd player is garbage.
