Has anyone had any problems with their 2001 Chevy Tahoe and the starter?

My tahoe when cold starts fine. After about 30 minutes of turning the vehicle off, it takes three cranks to get the engine started. Has anyone experienced this? I took it to a mechanic and he had no idea what was wrong with it. Fuel pump, fuel filter was fine as well as the starter.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
