stock speakers were gone. Got a good deal on some component speakers (tweeter and woofer). The wiring for the front speakers now is one set of pos/neg going to tweeter and one set of pos/neg going to woofer. I want to be able to use the crossover that is included with my new speakers. How do I go about wiring this using the stock wiring and the stock head unit? Can I just combine the tweeter and woofer wires into the crossover, and the have the tweeter pos/neg and woofer pos/neg? or will the screw something up?
The tahoe already has stock components. My real question is how do I replace them using the wiring that is there now. The "crossovers" that they have now are capacitors that are solders to the speakers. The new crossover needs a positive and negative input and has 2 sets of positive and negative out (one for tweeter and one for woofer). Is it possible for me to combine the stock wires for the tweeter and woofer and put them as the input for the crossover, then have new wires going respectively to the tweeter and woofer
