I have a 95 chevy cavalier. The turning signals have been going slower and slower and then stopped. I had the battery, alternator checked. That was not the trouble, but could not find the fuse for it. Someone told me it is something about the clock (?? Help, I am female and have no idea!) and it is located behind the steering wheel, and would have to go to a chevy dealer for repairs. Does this sound right? Is it going to be horribly expensive? I get ripped off a lot because I don't know cars at all. Thanks for any help!

Just replace the turn signal flasher. On your 1995 Cavalier it is mounted in a clip on the right side of the steering column support bracket just about in line with your right knee. The flasher for your hazard blinkers is plugged into a block under the dash. So don't confuse the two. The flasher on steering column support bracket is your turn signal flasher. It just slides out of the clip holding it and unplugs from the connecting harness. Even a girl! can change it in less than two minutes. Just be sure that when you buy a replacement you ask for the turn signal flasher, not the hazard flasher, although I think both of those flashers on the 1995 Cavalier are exactly alike. But don't chance it. Ask for the turn signal flasher.
