I just installed a new Sanden compressor on the Trailblazer yesterday. Well I did not think to measure the amount of oil from the old compressor and ensure that the new one install be at the same level. Instead I installed it with the amount of oil shipped out in it from the factory, which is 8 ounces. What I want to know is with the system bein overfilled with oil, am I pumping that oil throughout the entire system or can I just take the compressor back out and drain it down to proper level. What is the very best way to get the system back where it needs to be. Drain the compressor and flush the system and then install the full 8 ounces in the compressor? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
