Check engine light don't stay on, but has come on a few times over the last few day's. The car (95 chevy tahoe)Now the truck runs rough, and even has stalls serveral times. I think it's the O2 senor, if so, once replaced can I clear my computer bye un hooking the battery

Most times, the check engine light points to a sensor but it doesn't mean that the sensor is bad. It means the sensor is sending information to the ECM that the ECM doesn't take kindly to.
Maybe the sensor is sending exactly what it senses and the reason the reading is not like by the ECM is because your car needs a good tune-up.
You have to figure out the last time you changed spark plugs, spark plug wires, if you have a distributor, cap and rotor.
Take the car to a parts store, get the code and read the different things that can cause that code.

Or you can just spend your money guessing.

No on a 95 unhooking the battery will not clear the code out.It has OBD 2 Thats on board diagnostics 2.You really should have it hooked up to a scanner and see why the light comes there will be a fault code stored in it even if the light s not on at the time.I hate to see people just throwing parts at the car without knowing the exact cause of the problem.

once you replace the 02 sensor you could try to disconnect the battery but on some you have to have the garage to clear the codes.
