chevy impala 2001 transmission help?

how do u check the trans fluid on a chevy impala 01 v6? and where do u add more fluid??? pls and thnx .. PEACE

You pull out the dipstick with the trans in neutral with engine running and see what it says. Check the oil dipstick with engine off and in park.
