My Power steering went out and I was wondering if this is common with all HHR's or am I having problems?

Oh yeah, have a 2009 HHR, power steering went out at 46k. Is the same motor number as Cobalts which were recalled for this problem, but since I have the HHR, GM is not fixing it.
