I have a 2005 chevy equinox and the key will not turn.?

can the key switch be changed, or what can i do to move my car. Windows are down and its gonna rain can anybody that has a serious answer help?

try moving the steering wheel while attempting to turn the key or moving the shifter while turning the key

my 98 jetta does the same thing. if my steering wheel isnt locked all the way or if i recently moved it up or down, the ignition locks. pull the lever and move it up an down and try again
