You can probably get a performance chip for it, (Jet Brand or other), but idk about the 2.2 engine, better off getting a chip for the new engine you put in there. Chips generally give about 15-25 horsepower also:
Cold Air Intake (KN is a popular brand), will add about 15 horsepower
Performance Exhaust (Flowmaster, Mangnaflow, Borla, SLP, TSP), can add a bit more horsepower
New Headers (with the exhaust, Pacesetters are very popular)
Get a Cam for it (Comp Cams)
All these mods add horsepower and torque, but they also run up a big pricetag quickly (Cams are around $350, Chips can run up to $300+. exhausts $300-$500, Pacesetters-$400ish. And a Cold Air Intake can run about $85-$90.)
So best to do it in little bits, or do what i do and use the Holiday Season to your advantage. Just make sure you get the right fits for your car and engine, dont want to buy all that stuff for nothing. Again, if you plan to put a new engine in there, wait to buy till you get it in there. Also, make sure the parts you use are made for your car. (Check their websites)
