What is the best way to find what is shorting out the cpu in my corvette? [Archive]

I have an 1987 Corvette that keeps shorting the cpu's out. Does anybody know what is causing this or have any idea how to fix it.

Diagnostic. Either buy a diagnostic tool or take it to the mechanic and ask him to run a diagnostic on it.
