I have a 2005 colorado. The tailgate Latch broke so I replaced it. It has always been hard to open, usually a great push then hard pull got it open. Anyway I replaced it & now it is not opening again. I can see where the latch is not releasing ALL THE WAY on the right side. The handle needs to be pulled out farther to unlatch, but the gate is in the way. I can manually do this from the inside of the latch, but i need to put the cover back on. Now what?
