Thanks for all your help guys. Another question to ask about my 1998 Chevy Camaro 3.8L V6 (STOCK)

What is the best FLOWMASTER exhaust to get? I know about the painful sounding V6 rasp, and i was wondering which series worked best to reduce it? (I say Flowmaster B/C there's a flowmaster dealer down the road from me)

I see the 80 Series ( 80 Series Cat Back) are popular, but I've also seen the 40 series, what do you think?

I know, I know, I'll never eliminate the Six Banger rasp, keep in mind, i dont have pacesetter headers or anything, YET...(One thing at a time $$)

So...your thoughts?

He also said (The Flowmaster Dealer) that he could get me the Z-28 Exhaust setup with the dual exhaust, etc, for around the same price...

which is better? Flowmaster, or setup off a Z-28?

Thanks!!

flowmasters sound good...but they sound much better on a v-8 than a v-6.....even the 80 series will be loud and other than the name flowmaster i don't think this is what you are after for your camero...the z-28 set-up is a better idea....you will grow tired of that constant drowning .or raspy noise as you call it...if this car is driven once in a while go with loud, but if its a everyday driver go with the z-28 set-up...we install flowmasters every day ...they are good mufflers...but loud doesn't mean fast ...it only means loud...
