...What's going on? I have a 2005 Chevy Aveo, with 64,000 miles. The car keeps idling up and down like it wants to shut off when it's in park and then eventually it does shut off. If I gas it, it's slow to respond and then goes with hesitation but when I stop gassing it, the car stops and shuts off. It is now hesitating when I accelerate and now the check engine light is on. I took it in to a mechanic and they changed the timing belt, water pump, spark plugs, and I even got a whole brand new air intake system with a new iat sensor and all. But my car still is hesitating, shutting off and won't accelerate. What seems to be the problem because these egghead mechanics can't figure it out and I'm too broke from their bill to take it somewhere else. Thanks.
