Putting new speakers in my 2001 chevy tahoe Z71.. need some help?

as of now I am getting a new receiver, front speakers with tweeters, but im wondering if i buy a new sub, the same size as the stock, can i just replace the old one in the same place? also do you think i will need to get an amplifier for all of this? thanks.

the factory amp may not produce enough power to support the aftermarket sub and speakers. best bet is to go to a car stereo shop and get some advice. act like your going to buy it from them so they give you honest advice. then if you think you can handle it, do it your self, if not see if they can work out a deal with you to have it done professionally.
