How do I tell a 68' Camaro RS/SS from any other Camaro just by looking at the body?

The VIN only tells that it was a Chevrolet Camaro with a V8 nothing else.

The SS is a performance option ( Bigger HP motor , 12 bolt rear) There is no way to tell between this and a normal coupe.as it was just an add on to a base coupe. The RS is an appearance package. On an RS car it should have hideaway headlights and the backup lights should be in the panel below the rear bumper- Without the RS package they are in the taillights.
1968 Vin and Trim tags offer no info to help you determine RS or SS options.
