Is a '73-'74 Chevy Nova a good car?

I know nothing about cars and my parents are talking about getting me this. They're going to teach me how to take care of it, but I'm wondering if its a good car because I don't know much about it?

I have a 1973 Nova that i wouldn't trade for anything. I love this car i have had it for 5 years now and have had no problems out of it. Don't get me wrong they are not the type of cars you can drive forever and just not take care of them, you have to keep it up and make sure all of your fluid levels are good. Just regular everyday stuff, like tune ups and basic stuff. If I were you I wouldn't turn it down.

I have a 1974 Nova and love it. I take it to shows all around the area. The Chevy Novas in this area of Pa are as popular as the camaros at car shows. I too wouldn't pass up the opportunity of getting one. The nice thing is, you can work on them yourself too.
