My 02 Chevy Malibu will not start;it stalls as if it had no gas but is sitting...

...on a full tank? I drove it around all day yesterday it started perfectly fine drove fine. I attempted to start it this morning it started but only stayed on for 2 minutes then shut off; after this I couldn't get it to turn back on it would only stall and it sounds like the car has no gas but i filled up before i came home so that is not possible.

sounds like your fuel pump is going out not cheap to fix unfortunately

One other possibility could be a vacuum leak at the Fuel Pressure Regulator.

You may have gotten some bad gas with water in it , if so change the fuel filter and add some HEET into the gas tank, you can find this at the auto parts store , it helps break the water down so you can get rid of the water. Also check the fuel pump relay your fuel pump.
