You might consider beefing up your front springs and shocks! If it originally came with a small block, They may not big strong enough to handle the extra weight!

if memery servs me right even though the big block is longer than the sb. i belive you still can use the same mounts and i don't think they changed the possition eather. just make sure you have a big enough radiater to cool the bb. theres lots of headers out there for that car with the bb. your trans will bolt right up and will work just fine in there. however if you are planning on running it hard you may want to invest in a built up th 350 to handle the extra torque of that bb. for what you are probobly going to want to do with that car you'll probobly want to stay with the th350. it takes less power to run than the th400 and you'll have to change the driveshaft if you change the trans. you can get a th350 that will handle all that bb will throw at it and more, just as good as the th400 and the th350 has a slighty bigger first and second gear than the th400 so you'll get a bit harder launch. the springs should be fine the bb only weighs about 100 lbs. more than the sb. but you might have to have the front end aliened to correct the slight change in the camber but you may not even need that. good luck, have fun, and becarfull.
