I have a 1998 Chevy camaro 3.8 V6

Yesterday my car wouldnt start before i went to work it would turn over and attempt to start and when it did it would die immediately. I checked my battery, fuel pump, gas level, oil levels, alternator, ignition coils, and a few other things and everything worked. I noticed however that the serpentine belt would turn a little then a squeling noise would come from that area and a slight burning smell.

So what i did was i took off the serpentine belt and i noticed all the pulleys holding it turned except the crankshaft pulley (which i know is not supposed to) and also the a/c compressor pulley. When i try to turn it by hand with the belt off its stiff as a rock. I have been having problems with the compressor before but i just lived without the a/c but now its stopping my car from starting i believe. I also tried starting the car at that point and it started up perfect but just ran a little rough im guessing thats because the belt is off.

My question is, is there any way i can make the pulley work again or anything else i could do? I read that there are bypass pulleys and belts i can use to exclude the a/c compressor from the assembly, where can i get one and what are the dangers of them? Also any idea how much they cost? Any other information would be great thank you very much in advance for you help im getting a little hopeless im just a highschool student and im running out of ideas.
I tried taking out the fuse but didnt check to see if it turned before putting it back. Would that demagnitize it and make it work or would it just go right back to being stuck when i put the fuse back in?
Also how much do you think it would cost for a used compressor from the junk yard? and how hard is it to remove it? At our local junk yard the cars are pretty much on the ground and i dont want to be under there (lol). Also from past experience they only have 3rd generation camaros which go up to 97 at the junk yard i usually go to which is U-pull-it. My camaro is a 4th generation 98

Pull the fuse out that goes to the AC. This should make the compressor pulley free wheeling, since the pulley is connected to the compressor via electrical magnetic clutch.
