I have a Camaro, It's a '83 V8 305 Crossfire fuel injected. Should I be using super? when i bought it over the summer, gas was like 3.00 a gallon so i ran regular in it, but it doesn't start up quickly like it should, and it runs pretty rough. i know its probably the plugs, but super should be fine right? Gas is coming down and i want to run the best in there with some prestone gas treatment to make sure its at its peak performance. Thanks
Ron H. But will the gas burn cleaner in the engine? and wont it clean the engine also. I know that higher octane has a less amount of dirt and water. so woulndn't it run better?
And it would be great if someone could give me tips on why it isn't starting up right away. it will start in like 5-6 seconds of turning the key. I hear the fuel pump so it shouldn't be that. It could be the fuel filter, no?
