2003 chevy impala problem?

when i was driving to a store earlier. the low tire pressure light came on. then coming back home when i went to park when i put it in reverse the engine shut off.. turned it back on and when i put it in to drive the engine shut off again.. i let the car sit for acouple minutes and it was alright again.. what could be the problem? i havent had a oil change in 5000 miles is that doing something? please help i hope i can make it to work tomorrow

Don't worry much about the tire light its normal for that to happen with big temperature changes. The shutting off sounds like the car is not idling properly so that when you engage the transmission it doesn't have enough power but when its warm its fine. I would take it no a mechanic sound like a sensor is not reading right.
