I just need something cheap but decent to make it through the winte (daily sub-zero temps) . My car died and need something before the snow hits.
Do you think this car would be an automatic?
I grew up in the snow and have several years of careful winter driving experience.

That car is great for winter driving. I'd have no problem driving that all winter. I live in Florida. Oh wait...you have snow? Oh heck no.

Make sure you keep a warm blanket and some granola bars in the trunk so you can survive for a while when you are in a ditch waiting for the tow truck.

Congrats on your new car!

However... if you live in an area where there is a lot of snow accumulation/icy driving conditions I would not recommend a camero.

Rear wheel drive cars tend to spin out/slip around in icy/snowy conditions.

Best thing I could tell you, is make sure you've got a good battery, don't allow your gas tank to get low during the winter, make certain you have really good snow tires and think about putting some sand bags in the trunk of the car to give it some Weight.

I have seen so many spin-outs by young dudes who have little or no experience driving in snow or ice. If that's you, don't get a Camaro with rear wheel drive. If you know how to drive on snow and ice, go for it -- but GENTLY. Remember that you won't get as much pull even with snow tires as you would with a rear-wheel drive car.

And do get snow tires but NOT cheap ones. They can shred and then you'll really be in a pickle. Your life depends on them.
